Stop by or call to sign up.

Leslie also has a new class coming in November, the "Holiday Frock Workshop!" It's
not too early to start thinking about that perfect LBD (or little RED dress) for
the Holidays. This is your opportunity to get fitting, construction and fine
couture detail help from local sewing expert, Leslie Ashcraft, and have that perfect
dress ready before the Holiday party (and gift shopping) season begins. Thursday
afternoons, November 1st, 8th and 15th with an additional "get started" session on
October 25th. Complete details at:

NOVEMBER
==========
"Holiday Frock Class"
Cost: $150
When: Thursdays, November 1st, 8th and 15th.

Scared of hidden zippers? Afraid to set a sleeve? Can’t make a dress fit smoothly
over your bust? Have lining angst? This is the class for you!

The instructor suggests any of the following patterns, roughly ranked from easiest to most difficult:
    McCalls 6464
    Butterick 5554
    Simplicity 2648
    Butterick 5752
    McCalls 6463
    Butterick 5814.
    (The last two require boning…)

Or use a dress pattern of your choice, as long as it is not for a knit, a long formal
or a bias style. The class is limited to 6 students with a cost of $150 for all 3
sessions. (A $50, non-refundable deposit is required at Nob Hill Fabrics.) Students
must provide their own sewing machines in good working order and all fabric and notions required for their pattern choices.

Students who elect their own pattern choice or need help and advice on pairing fabric
with their pattern, may meet Leslie at Nob Hill Fabrics on Thursday, October 25th
between 1 and 5 p.m. for help.

The instructor would like all interested students to e-mail, lesash@q.com, to sign up
and let her know what pattern they plan to use and whether they have their fabric and
notions already in hand. The teacher would like to know that fabric-pattern pairing is
appropriate and provide pattern preparation instructions before the first session begins!

Basic sewing and pattern reading knowledge is required, as is familiarity with your
personal sewing machine.
