September is National Sewing Month!!! Established in 1982 by President Ronald
Reagan declaring September as National Sewing Month "In recognition of the
importance of home sewing to our Nation."

To celebrate, the Sewing & Craft Alliance in partnership with the American Sewing
Guild are sponsoring a "Sew for the FUN of It! Contest". No categories, no
restrictions, lots of fun and winners will be chosen at random. All it takes
to enter is a picture of something you made this year:

We have another of Leslie's "Jacket" classes starting this Thursday,
September 6th, 1:00pm-5:00pm. She can take one more student so send
her an email if you're interested, lesash@q.com.

New class this month... "Mastering Sewing and Seam Finishing Techniques"
with Melissa Lea. French seams, faux French seams, flat fell and more.
The right seam finish in the right place can can take a garment from
"homemade" to "custom made" and it's easier than it sounds.
